Garmin übernimmt Firstbeat Lizenzgeschäft

Garmin übernimmt die finnische Firstbeat Analytics Oy – Firstbeat Analytics war als Teil von Firstbeat Technologies für das Verbraucher-Lizenzgeschäft zuständig.

Letztes Jahr war Tacx an der Reihe, jetzt ist es Firstbeat. Eine Übernahme die Sinn macht, Zukunft hat und das Geschäft von Garmin – insbesondere für Wearables – stärken dürfte. Außerdem: Die eigenen Lizenzkosten für Firstbeat-Technologie entfallen, Mitbewerber werden jetzt wohl an Garmin zahlen müssen! Denn Firstbeat steckt in Produkten von Amazfit (Huami), Casio, Honor, Huawei, Jabra, Montblanc, Mio, Samsung, Sony, Suunto, Withings, Xiaomi … !

Firstbeat Analytics is the consumer licensing business formerly a part of Firstbeat Technologies. Firstbeat Technologies will continue operating its Wellness and Professional Sports businesses.
