Kein Wunder, dass Garmin für einige Forerunner Modelle interessante Software-Updates mit Funktionserweiterungen für Trail- Und Ultrarunning spendiert hat – flitzen doch mittlerweile viele Trail- und Ultrarunner*innen durchs Gebirge!
Die Beta-Updates bringen – je nach Modell – unter anderem ein Aktivitätsprofil für Ultralaufen, eine spezielle VO2max Bestimmung für solche Trail- und Ultraläufe, eine Schlafaufzeichnung inklusive Schlafscore (der Score ist übrigens nur auf der Uhr und nicht in Connect zu sehen) sowie eine "Sebstauswertung" zum Einstufen des Körpergefühls nach einer Aktivität.
Die meisten dieser Funktionen gibt es bereits auf anderen Wearables wie beispielsweise der erst kürzlich eingeführten Venu 2 oder der Enduro. Die folgenden Abbildungen zeigen Beispiele von der Enduro.
